Lanko 261 Power Seal Tape
HIGH-ADHESIVE BUTYL SEALING TAPELANKO 261 POWER SEAL TAPE is a self-adhesive sealing tape made of a butyl rubber compound, protected by a reinforced aluminium metal film.

Usage
LANKO 261 POWER SEAL TAPE is designed for sealing and repairing against water penetration on:

• Roofs including sheet metal work

Shelf life : 72 months from the date of production If stored properly in undamaged, original, sealed packaging.
Storage conditions : Store in dry and cool conditions, protected from direct sunlight at temperature between +5°C and +40°C.

Application Information 
Ambient air temperature : +0°C min. / +40°C max.
At temperatures below +5°C the tape and the substrate must be warmed before and during the application. Use hot air equipment.
Substrate moisture content : The substrate must be dry.

Application steps
SUBASTRATE PREPARATION 
The substrate must be sound, clean, dry and free from all surface contaminants.
All loose particles, release agents, laitance, paint, rust and other poorly adhering materials must be removed by suitable hand or mechanical preparation techniques.
Metallic substrates, plastics etc. have to be thoroughly cleaned with a solvent (e.g. Sika® Cleaner-205). Allow the solvent to completely evaporate before the tape is applied.
On porous substrates (concrete, renderings, etc.) the adhesion can be improved with a butyl primer (e.g. Primer 130) Let the primer dry for at least 1 hour.
