การเตรียมพื้นผิว
สำหรับพื้นผิวใหม่
- พื้นผิวจะต้องมีผิวหน้าที่เรียบสม่ำเสมอ แข็งแรงไม่หลุดล่อนและห้ามมีความชื้น
- พื้นผิวจะต้องแห้ง สะอาด ปราศจากฝุ่น สิ่งสกปรก น้ำมัน และสิ่งแปลกปลอมอื่น ๆ
- กรณีใช้งานบนพื้นผิวปูนใหม่ ควรทิ้งไว้ให้แห้งสนิทอย่างน้อย 28 วัน ก่อนทำการปูกระเบื้อง
- หากพื้นผิวเดิมปูนเสื่อมสภาพ มีฝุ่นปูน ให้ทำการขัดออก ล้างทำความสะอาดให้ปราศจากฝุ่น ทิ้งไว้ให้แห้งก่อนทำการปูกระเบื้อง
- หากพื้นผิวทาสีเดิมมีสีเสื่อมสภาพ (แตกล่อน) ทำการขัดสีเดิมออกให้หมดเสียก่อน และล้างทำความสะอาดให้ปราศจากฝุ่น ทิ้งไว้ให้แห้งก่อนทำการปูกระเบื้อง
- กรณีปูทับกระเบื้องเดิม ต้องตรวจสอบความสามารถในการยึดเกาะระหว่างกระเบื้องและผิวคอนกรีต หากความสามารถในการยึดเกาะต่ำ มีแนวโน้มที่จะหลุดล่อน จะต้องสกัดกระเบื้องเดิมทิ้ง
- ใช้เกรียงด้านเรียบปาดกาวลงบนพื้นหรือผนังที่ต้องการปูกระเบื้อง ให้ทั่วและเพียงพอสำหรับกระเบื้องที่จะใช้ปูแต่ละครั้ง และปาดเนื้อกาวให้เรียบสม่ำเสมอ
- ใช้เกรียงด้านหวีปาดกาวให้เป็นร่อง โดยจับเกรียงหวีให้ได้มุมประมาณ 60 องศา และครูดกาวให้เป็นรอยในทิศทางเดียวกับกับด้านสั้นของกระเบื้อง (ใช้เกรียงหวีให้เหมาะกับขนาดของกระเบื้อง)
- กรณีปูพื้นกระเบื้องที่มีขนาด 30x30 เซนติเมตรขึ้นไป ใช้เกรียงหวีด้านเรียบปาดกาวไล้หลังกระเบื้อง เพื่อชดเชยความโก่งตัวของกระเบื้อง
- นำกระเบื้องปูลงบนกาว สไลด์แผ่นกระเบื้องไปทางขวางในทิศทางตั้งฉากกับแนวของเกรียงหวีที่ครูด เคาะกระเบื้องให้ติดแน่นกับกาวเต็มทั่วทั้งแผ่น พร้อมทั้งปรับแต่งให้ได้ระดับสม่ำเสมอ ภายในเวลาไม่เกิน 10 นาที
- ใช้ฟองน้ำทำความสะอาดคราบกาวส่วนเกินบนผิวหน้ากระเบื้องในขณะที่กาวยังไม่แห้ง
- รอจนกาวแห้งสนิท 24 ชั่วโมง ก่อนทำการยาแนว
- รอจนกาวแห้งสมบูรณ์ 7 วัน

- Use the smooth side of the trowel to spread the glue onto the floor or wall that needs to be tiled. thoroughly and sufficiently for the tiles to be used for laying each time and smooth the glue evenly
